Get An Act is a six week beginner/intermediate class based on improving the development skills for creating an act. This class is designed to teach you the process to get from idea to a polished act.

Class Objective:
Upon completion of this six week course you’ll have a new or improved act with the skills to create complex numbers from start to finish. Including music creation, costume design, makeup and accessories, dance choreography and understanding the details that make the act.

Class materials and written material are provided with both lecture, and hands on performances taking place.

GET AN ACT – Class times and schedule For Los Angeles:

Eighteen hours of class time in the six week course.
Sundays, 2PM – 5PM

April 10th, 2016 – Week One: Stage Persona
Why we use them and how and when to use for your character.
April 17th, 2016 – Week Two: Music
Understanding music and how the journey of dance choreography and stripping relate in burlesque.
April 24th, 2016 – Week Three: Costuming and Make Up
Body and facial shape related to costume choices, style in context of the musical choice and the strip.
May 1st, 2016 – (NO CLASS)
May 8th, 2016 – Week Four: Props, Boas, Fans and Gloves
Usage of props including; boas, fans and glove work in the actual strip you’ve decided to develop.
May 15th, 2016 – (NO CLASS)
May 22nd, 2016 – Week Five: Pasties
Styles, usage and Tassel Twirling. Working numbers.
May 29th, 2016 – Week Six: Professionalism and Final Touches
Business, negotiations, ethics, promotion, and emergency kits. Final numbers performance.
Class Fees: $300

Were doing it in two long glorious days in LAs Vegas as a weekend Seminar.

Class Objective:
Upon completion of the two day event you’ll have a new or improved act with the skills to create complex numbers from start to finish. Including music choice and understanding of musicality, costume design for stripping, act/dance choreography, using your clothing as a prop, make up basics for stage, and understanding the details that make an act original, innovative and unique to you.

Class materials and written material are provided with both lecture, and hands on performances taking place.

Twelve hours of class time.

February 21st, 2016 2pm- 5pm – Pasties
Styles, usage and Tassel Twirling.
Two hour class learning how to make pasties, conscription, glues, decorating, securing tassels, and you learn how to twirl them.

$80, includes a pair of undecorated pasties.

Location is private studio in North Hills.

Starting in January, Lili VonSchtupp is taking on private classes. One on one time for consulting. Costumes, Performance, Emcee, Production, Audio Editing, Competition, and more. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday available. Other times may be workable on a case by case basis.

Rates are $100 per hour. Blocks of time can be purchased at a discount. Additional studio cost or travel may apply depending on location.

Instructor Madeline Sinclaire

Madeline Sinclaire is a classic Burlesque Entertainer, Coach, Producer and Model with focuses on stage presence, production quality, props and community. First Runner Up, Miss Viva Las Vegas 2015.

Chair Dance

In this 2 hour class, you will learn the Lili’s School For Wayward Girls chair dance routine that provides burlesque students with basic moves, poses and dance steps that provide the foundation for movement in Burlesque Performance and Chair Dancing. After a good warm-up, students will strut, shimmy, slink and shake to their hearts content in this 4 week- 2 hour class. Upon completion of class, student will perform in the Monday Night Tease Graduation show on June 1st in this group number. Costumes are provided. Students provide fishnets, pasties, and black shoes.
Beginner/intermediate.

Feathers and Fans

Have you ever wanted to be Sally Rand or a Ziegfeld Girl with gorgeous feathers or do you want to dance in a sequin- studded dress draped in a hige feather boa? In this class, taught by feather fan specialist, Madeline Sinclaire, we’ll cover you with feathers- Fans AND Boas and teach you how to move and groove with them. Not only will we warm up before each session, but we’ll cover basic poses and movements through a group routine we’ll build on each class. Upon completion of class, student will perform in the Monday Night Tease Graduation Show on June 1st. Costumes not provided. (Fans will be provided for use in class, and performance.)
