As an emcee and performer she’s worked all over the US in venues from 40 seats to 9k. Get An Act is a six week beginner/intermediate class based on improving the development skills for creating an act. This class is designed to teach you the process to get from idea to a polished act.
Class Objective: Upon completion of this six week course you’ll have a new or improved act with the skills to create complex numbers from start to finish. Including music creation, costume design, makeup and accessories, dance choreography and understanding the details that make the act.
Class materials and written material are provided with both lecture, and hands on performances taking place.

Eighteen hours of class time in the six week course. Sundays, 2:30-5:30pm
July 14th, 2018 – Week One: Stage Persona Why we use them and how and when to use for your character. July 21st, 2018 – Week Two: Music Understanding music and how the journey of dance choreography and stripping relate in burlesque. July 28th, 2018 – Week Three: Costuming and Make Up Body and facial shape related to costume choices, style in context of the musical choice and the strip. August 4th, 2018 – Week Four: Props, Boas, Fans and Gloves Usage of props including; boas, fans and glove work in the actual strip you’ve decided to develop. August 18th, 2018 – Week Five: Pasties Styles, usage and Tassel Twirling. Working numbers. August 25th, 2018 – Week Six: Professionalism and Final Touches Business, negotiations, ethics, promotion, and emergency kits. Final numbers rehearsal.
Class Fees: $300
