Reigning Miss Hollywood Burlesque, Sheila Starr Siani teaches this six week course all about erotism and enticement in your performance. Part lecture, part movement, we will explore sensuality, timing, body language and pleasure.
Students will learn a sexy routine with the have the opportunity to perform it at Monday Night Tease.
Week 1: STRIP LIKE A STRIPPER: introduction, intention, intensity. lots of talk this first class. We will see the choreography and work on it some to get familiar with the music.
Week 2: EXOTIC DANCE
Movement and elements of seductive dances from around the world. Lots of isolations and hips.
Week 3: SLINKY STRONG SEXY
Floor work, stretches, walks, use of limbs.
Week 4: WHAT’S THE LINE?
Positioning your body, extending your poses, finishing your movement.
Week 5: DROP THE BEAT
Musicality, timing. Going slower. Musical choices.
Week 6: SEX AND ELEGANCE
Tying it all together and adding qualities of seduction and pleasure.
